If i use my phone to connect which i tend not to, phones are first thing coppers take and last thing you want is being logged into a weed site where your admitting things ;), I run through my VPN and never leave it logged in, since the s5 i got i havent used my phone on here yet.

With great difficulty! :P

Only having a laugh Dave, as far as I know the only way to not use google on android would be to root the phone and remove all the google bits. Could be wrong on that though.

Personally, I have a VPN on my phone and don't normally use the camera on the phone for anything illegal. If I want to upload pics I'll use a different camera and use the PC.

Only installed the VPN because I got the PC and 2 mobile devices included in the one VPN for $4.99/month - handy when you want to watch US Netflix too!

OpenVPN is available for Android :)

You'll need a provider, but it shouldn't need to be Android-specific service as long as they can supply the required keys and certificates.

I've successfully used the Android client and a 'standard' certificate/key-based OpenVPN server together :)
