No i not done it i never got height, but i have chatted about it with you at the old place and my preference was for raising the light over that of dropping light hours at the end.
14/10,.

Yes both ways should show similar results really on paper i just prefered the raising of your light over dropping light hours.

Yes mate.Intresting Mellowed yeah cheers all good info... so you done a week before you chop in the dark then?
Just left them in the boiler cupboard in the warm dark an only checked them in the dark with my scope so they only got the little led light for a min an thats it.
I did it a few times an every time, after 3-4 days they start to change but the ones left in the groom didn't.
I also didnt water them which could also have aided it a tad as well.

hello fairy sweetie, was just pondering this theme over the nook the other day.
for me, Im in first photo in flower so no experience, but I think I need to keep my conditions
as stable & optimal as I can, so Ill finish this on 12/12
havent gotten convinced theres benefit to shortening light on hours but again I lack experience.
but your experience in the dark makes me ponder some more.
I have 3 plants so's I could put one in dark to see what happens. possibility hmm
good discussion & thanks mates

Old thread ano but would dropping the light on my ballast to 400w instead of 600w would that work in the same way as raising the light because of the loss of lumens thanks
Should do high as
And for the thread info... what i do is always have my pots sat on a paint tub or another pot then last week i take the pots away and leave lower than canopy which is a ft or so lower than canopy

errrmm yes, sort of.
Not really bothered with either tbh. Whether it's better to reduce lumens or reduce daylight hours is another matter though, but with only 2 weeks to go I think I'd opt for less light hours than less lumens. I suspect that is more of a recognizable trigger for the plants that the end is nigh and they'd better get a move on
