worth adding in to my setup over using standard round an square pots?

I am using air pots..Zipp does too. To be honest I don't even know if there is much difference to the plain old pots..
Only thing is you have to water them slowly and compact the soil more so water doesn't keep running out but give them a try..They look nicer then old type pots though

i use a watering can with the sprinkle bit on end works a treat and fill your pots to the top, then top up when compacted a wee bit, but it is a bit of a pain in arse till you can feed with the watering can, i do use a 2L milk bottle with 2mm holes drilled in lid and this works also..
15L air- pot = 6L water/feed for a good run off

as for difference theirs a few...
: more air
: better drainage
: never root bound
: and you will see when you dismantle the pot, never disappointed when having to brake the root ball up, usually have a 15L solid root ball
best thing since sliced bread says pissed TCR...

I used them in a modified wilma dripper system with clay pebbles. The system had been modified into a dripper/DWC system and the airpots were to force the roots down into the res. worked really well and when the airpots were opened you could really see how they work. I was also left with a mat of roots in the res about 2 inches thick so they had clearly done their job. I managed to salvage this photo from the old forum but they'd deleted the one with the root mat.
any questions, feel free to ask

Good luck with it all squire..
My view on airpots is that heathrow is grubbier than gatwick, but the air hostesses are way fitter. Avoid stanstead like the plague. Its run by smelly old bags and you will get mugged if you are waiting around for the delayed flights.
