Got a random bagseed on the go and have noticed some of the new growth has a weird problem in so much as the leaves are being attacked by something. I have checked the plant over and can find no trace of any bugs.

Snail/slug trails maybe. I`m not sure tbh though.

Leafs on my friends cabbages look like the top pic....she found caterpillers.....?.

They will be on the underside of the leaves, look out for curled leaves. Usually a little cocoon underneath. They can do a lot of damage as you are finding.

@Ken Erbis I did have a look and didn't find any caterpillars, but then again I wasn't looking for caterpillars. My first thought was thrips or mites, you can't really see from the pics but the new growth looks too dark and it's kind of stuck together.

yup stuck together,my moneys on caterpillar, remember they turn into moth, butterfly and fly away .Had them indoors last year

Believe it or not the cure for lots of pests is molasses. Too sweet for most insects. See here
