Yeah he was pretty good made me feel like there might just be some hope brought back into politics instead of the feeling of hopelessness the tory, labour tory blairite bastards have instilled in me that are running or have run country before.

I can't help but wonder whether he'll end up splitting the party and, with the current disatisfaction with (and within) all parties, whether such a move could have knock-on effects.

Imagine, for instance, the right-leaning (Blairite) Labour members deciding to break away and, perhaps, team up with the left-leaning Tories. That would probably be an effective takeover bid for the middle/Lib-Dem ground (or perhaps they'd team up with them, too).

I'm not saying it's a good idea, just that I could see it happening.

I thought his first speech was pretty much ok at conference myself, but i`m gonna do. It`s whether he has that appeal to middle England, living in hope here and we shall know more next year when elections are back on first since the General Election.

Another kinnock though mrs willy? will middle england vote for him or carry on fucking over the poorer of society because they're OK ;)

Nah, he aint got the slaphead combover of kinnock. Jokes apart, these are different times. Will he win over middle england? I think he already has.

Im liking him very much :)

*wondering what shit the media are going to complain about him next...maybe he will sing the national anthem in the wrong key

My teens have always been interested in politics, they have no choice listening to mine and deeks conversations about government sometimes lol This guy has got my two teens interested in actually voting though :)

Good for you Mrs Deeks. He got slated yesterday by a UK saudi ambassador  for being "disrespecftul" because he challenged the fate of a 17 yr old boy (now man) on death row for protesting against the saudi govt. This is part of his plea to cameron to interject and stop a UK company from profiting running the prisons where ali is held.

"As you may be aware, Ali has now exhausted all his appeals and could be executed any day - in a particularly horrific manner, which involves beheading and the public display or "crucifixion" of the body."

I like the fact he's a socialist again :)

Usually the death nell of the lefty politician though. Maybe we're in the shit enough for the middle classes to want change and a fairer society.

I think we already are in that level of shit WT and corbyn is the best option for a paddle. Im firmly in middle class category and he has completely won me over. (In the abscence of anything else in my adult lifetime.. Thatcher, callaghan, blair, brown, major, cameron). Hardly a great list is it. But he is so much better than all of them.

Eric Bristow, i just spewed coffee all over place after i read that @Mrs Willy, too funny. :)

Yes i like that @mrsDekay and think he will turn a lot of younger peeps that`s never voted back on to voting who were fucked off and couldn`t tell the difference between the main 2 parties the 10 or 15 years, Labour has had their fingers up their backsides in this time saying owt to stay in power, fuck thast shit, we want real Labour and well were gonna get it now, no turning back, even if they were to lose next time and this guy was ousted Tony Blairs New Labour is dead and they know it. :)

In fact in all honesty i can see this socialism thing catching on again in Europe too, which is pretty much more blue than red atmo and well fucked up, mind you it kinda is slowly but theirs no big red players in that socialist Euro movement yet, but their will be lets hope with this guy one day . As Dude would say viva la revolution :D,

Think the revolution is aready happening tbh jimmi.  The whitewash victory? The 400000 people joining the labour party since he went on the ballot paper? The underhand tactics from the media say he is a real live threat, maybe on a global scale? He represents sincerity in all the important topics of the last 25 yrs and he had them all completely right. I think rich or poor people resonate with that.

il just leave this here cos I'm starting to like him, seems like he not a yea man to the banking elite as yet

Dont think he ever will take one up the arse from the banks tbh. Lets hope not anyway. We the public should stand by him eh. He is up there with ghandi/MLK/bill werbenuik as the most important people of the last 100 yrs.

Watched his conference speech this afternoon. I was impressed :)

Me too. What a lovely man.

Yeah he was pretty good made me feel like there might just be some hope brought back into politics instead of the feeling of hopelessness the tory, labour tory blairite bastards have instilled in me that are running or have run country before.

There is hope and he is in the chair deeks, by a historic landslide majority.

I cant see cameron taking on a load of blairites behind the scenes tbh, its political suicide.  I think even the blairites know themselves the time has come for them to just fuck off and take up bowls or summat. Jeremy can always team up with the SNP,?.. but quite right .. very interesting times ahead no doubt.

Right..

Good to hear this today. This is HUGE. JC input is v significant in the result. Its all he has been talking about for last 2-3 weeks.

Well worth a  play the osborne video in the link below. It is GOLD.. the whimpering fascist twat.

I think I've been misunderstood :)

What I meant was that I could see right-leaning Labour members teaming up with the left-leaning Tories, not that the existing Tory Party would welcome current Labour members of any persuasion :)

That might make an effective party of the middle ground, perhaps in cahoots with the Lib Dems, or not.

I'm not saying it will happen, nor that it's a good idea, but I could imagine that sort of thing might suit some of the currently-dissatisfied party members on both sides of the House.

Apols missy yes misunderstood by me. I guess my point was about the "effective" bit. tbh i cant see another effective party emerging and touchwood not happened yet.

I just get more impressed by this man...

"I will never press the nuclear bomb button as a PM"  - What a great political statement to make.

Reactions from the head army man.. "When people say you're never going to use the deterrent, what I say is you use the deterrent every second of every minute of every day and the purpose of the deterrent is that you don't have to use it because you successfully deter."

So what head army man is saying , is same as corbyn really. We would never use them.. but army man happy to spend billions of taxpayers money replacing what is already there(the old ones still work!)  to enhance deterrent. As well as spending billions on invading countries that don't have, but we suspect they have Weapons of Mass destruction.

Yesterday... remembrance day

Was criticized for not bowing properly? wtf. But the ONLY politician/member of the establishment to stay afterwards and applaud the march of the veterans and

hung about afterwards to engage with them and hear their stories.

If you beleive this man is same as teh rest, then tbh is time to really have a good look at this guy as he isnt and needs all the help he can get in defeating the fascist capitalist state we live in.

Go on jezza all the way son :)

I`m unsure on whether we need nukes or not tbh, i mean would we have invaded Iraq or Libya if they had nukes, i think not, so would that reasoning maybe apply to here in UK, like if we didn`t have them what`s to stop lets say France lol (cus we can), invading us to take over our country cus we got no deterent only a few 1000 para`s ? ok they are rock  hard and our elite fighters, but i just don`t think they pack a punch like a good old fashioned nuclear end of days bomb carries.

I meant 'effective opposition' not 'effective at governing' :)   None of them are any good at the latter.

Such a party might well appeal to a fair number of currently-disappointed Tory and Labour voters.
