What's your thoughts on drying.

Do you hang on stalks short or long?

Do you use drying racks? Cut all nugs off or leave o stalks

I've red hang on stalks or whole plant and let the goodness run down in buds?.

What do you dry your bud in?
Mines my wardrobe with fan flowing with extraction.

I like using my other tent and the buds in the dark with some airflow and filtration.

 

Tents in use this time though so I've hung the whole plant from the roof and that'll have to do this time.

 

I really want to do a specific drying space though doesn't have to be huge though. Smaller the better.

Like Troll I use my other tent, the one I started out with, a 60x60x140 with a 4" extractor fan,and a little tube heater for if temps drop below 20. My m8s are sick of me saying leave a long stalk for a slow dry 😠

in the top of my fluroe drobe on stems for 5 days then into a cardboard box where i toss them under my bed and poke them daily with a stick,after 5 days poking into sealed tubs and then into my bong!works a treat and capt beefheart taught me that method,peace

Chop plant.

Yank the big fan leaves off, maybe 5-10 leaves per plant.

Hang the puffs up for 10 days.

All leaves will be dried by then.

Crumble em off with the palm of your hand.

Leave to dry for another 2-3 days if necessary.

Jar em up.

Burp jars 3-4 times weekly for first 2-3 weeks, then leave em be.

I usually chop into as many branches as possible, with short stems, and hang em on strings in a cardboard box with a slow rpm PC fan for air movement, pointed away from the buds.

I also find staring at them and furiously wanking helps speed up the process.

I use my tent. But I know for sure next harvest will be dried with ONLY the exhaust on. It dried too quick with other fans on.

Good answers and info for first timers like me. I've heard of people using paper sacks to dry, any info on that would be great.

The brown paper bag method is alright and newspaper can be used effectively but I prefer to hang branches for a couple of weeks before I even think of jarring then it be right and no pissing about burping

cos i only have very limited space for drying safely i use a food dehydrator for the bulk that is intended for oil making and an early smoke and the rest that i save for smoking is hung to dry in my tiny veg cab on lines right up top away from direct light and steady temps 20-25c takes a week or so depending on density etc and has small carbon filter but effective,for oil faster is better imo but for smoking long and slow dry gives best results for me,when i was growing a lot i used an eezidri dehydrator from australia and in 24 hours go from wet on plant to dry in a bag no curing at all and some very happy smokers!peace
