Nah @duke, keep this as a separate thread, as it asks a specific question (although it has brought up some good discussions). The other one can be more of a general reference thread?
what additive to use in last few weeks.

I been readin both & helped me decide on products for next grow.
I ordered a L of GP Massive. & locally got FF Tiger Bloom & Superthrive.
I was due for new bloom nutes & decided since I like the FF Grow Big for veg
that I stay in same line. but also wanted a new boost so am trying the Massive too.
I hant seen so much agreement on recommend a product that I remember.
& my own read up on it cinched it.
& of course my results will be posted at Pixie Nook in good time.
Thanks for the help. Right on time for me.
Kindest Regard

I just started flushing the plants today on water and dextrose b4 i chop, not really used carbs as a boost for along time at the end, but i found a full sack of dextrose lying around a week or so back and read summink about BRIX which is measurement of sugars in the plants leaves, so i thought it a shame to waste the sugar and why not load the weed up on carbs last 2 or 3 weeks when it`s slowing down and using it`s sugar reserves. Sweet no pun intended.

hi yes i use a brix meter but not often anymore since changing from soil to coco i have only used it for checking how well the plant has flushed before the chop but basically brix gives an indication of plant health and gives a better idea of how well the plant is taking the nutrients and using them a brix reading of 10 or above would be what we aim for during vegging and early flower and up to midbloom stage then i use the meter every few days to see how flush is doing and look for a brix reading under 3 to be sure of a very clean and nutrient free smoke at the end,a good brix meter can be a good tool and cheap now around thirty quid mine cost me 60 about 10 years ago!refractometer or brix meter should bring up loads on ebay, but i will say though its a better guide than guesswork you can do the same with your tongue, really snap of a leaf or stem squeeze it and taste the sap,if its bitter and drys your tongue it means the plant can take more feed,if it leaves a slight sweet sacharin taste then the tank is full!works as well as the meter.peace
