Please help I have done many before but I am interested on your method of germinating seeds.

Below is the method I have used.

I usually:

1, wet some tissue with warm water.

2, put the seeds in and cover

3, Put in dark room and wait

4, check after 24hrs

Then normally boom 24/48hrs later

But not 100% success.

Interested to hear your views

Straight in the soil, two seed-widths down, watered and covered by a clear plastic tub, which has had a few holes punched in its base with a pencil.

No danger of drying out, or of damaging the delicate emerging radicle through handling :)

24hr soak in water

I used to do this, but I don't bother these days.

It doesn't seem to make things happen any faster, but it does increase the risk of botrytis.

I suppose that it may help with really old or excessively dry seeds, but I've never seen any significant difference.

Oh, yeah, the botrytis comment reminded me that I use fresh tap water for the initial watering, because the chlorine may help prevent mould spores taking hold.

I guess the same applies to the soaking procedure, but any extra handling or exposure is an added risk so I still avoid it.

Tepid glass of water, overnight soak then into grow medium, soil (seedling pot) or root riot. Keep them warm.

P.s, i add a drop of seaweed to the soak.

I soak first to give the seed as much water as it wants, in boiled water that is still slightly warm. Cold water must slow the whole thing down. After soaking the seed you can put it in a fairly dry soil reducing fungus.
