This is how i have been training my plants for a long time, you don't need a lot of space and in 4 weeks i could have flowered them off under a 600w hps and pulled a good yield

my veg area was a storage box with 48w of t5's screwed to the lid and a pc fan to keep them cool, I hung the lid about 3" above the box and kept the canopy 2-3 from the t5's at all times

I will start off at week 2 of veg after potting the plants up in 2ltr pots ( only keeping 4 plants)

after topping the plants

18 days in veg i removed all the fan leaves

20 days in veg and there be tied down

2 days later and there getting really bushy

now if you where flowering under a 600w you could pot these up and flower them off and pull a really good yield, all the training has been done, just need support for the buds in late flower

i veg my plants for another 10 days as i wanted really large plants

thanks for reading

Thanks gavin I was gonna do one on that plumbers theory thing you taught me,

but later realised it's easy to imitate your work by pics but harder to explain what I did in words lol

Hi all

This is my current organic soil grow.

Single plant under a 600w hps.

I have topped this plant a few times and pull the shoots down to control the growth, really wanted to grow a good amount of cola's in a circle this time, guessing the plant will finish about 3 ft high in a perfect circle of colas.

so the light can be almost level with the canopy giving me a very large canopy

removing all the unnecessary growth will really help me to control the way the plant will grow and reduce the stretch in flower, also love the idea of a quick harvest of top quality buds :)

Evening all,

things are going great and if I can't find problems with her tomorrow I will turn the lights over to 12/12 :)

haven't any more training,

over the next 2-3 weeks, I will just add extra support to pull the shoots down a small amount to I get the desired shape (upside down cone shape)

Evening all,

my plants are 2 days in flower and I have topped the center shoots to stunt the growth and spread the inner canopy.

all the main shoots have been pulled down an inch to increase the radius of the canopy
