Hi stoners, not been on for a while due to this and that but I'm back and hopefully with a vengeance!

So this is my situation...

I've just ordered some 25 liter round buckets with lids and I want to build a kick ass rdwc/ucdwc system and design an efficient groom,

Equipment I have...

25l buckets and lids

Selection of 4 foot fluorescent lights

Loads of lights with normal reflective hoods

Loads of bulbs 600w 400w mh and hps

4 or 5 mag ballasts

5 digital ballasts, some with dimmers

Timers

2 of those double plug timer things

Light runner

2x air-cooled hoods

Halia 150 chiller

2 x 4 way air pumps

A whirlpool bath water pump/or entire whirlpool bath (don't know specs, I'll have a look later)

A few maxijet pumps

150l tub for a header tank

12 inch temp controlled rhino fan

10 inch rhino fan

A few 6 inch fhino fans

A few oscillating fans

Some clip on fans

Another bath for a res if needed

On site water supply and drainage wherever needed

Around 6mx3m floor space with 2.1my head

room

Total water capacity will be up to 700 liters including the header rank depending on space

Noise isn't an issue

I know I'll need a lot more stuff but want to utilise what I have got as much as possible

I've built a couple of small quirky 2 plant dwc systems in the past which I've done quite well with but now I have a bit more space to play in and wanted to build something better with individual plant sites to control the grow better and have 360 degree access around the plants for training/pruning purposes, each plant will have its own screen (undecided as to what size screen)

Problem is I really don't know where to start or what the best system to use is and all this plumbing stuff pickles my head lol.

I would like to be able to isolate one half of the system from the other or even into 4 quarters for perpetual flowering of different strains ect.

I've seen a few different designs around with varying size pipework, pumps, ect and would like some advise as to which you guys think are better and why and to what you think are more suited to the equipment I already have.

Thanks for looking :)

I was thinking of a ucdwc using 2 inch pipe but i have round buckets and I've read that normal tank connectors aren't much good! I've been looking at uniseals but I'm having real trouble sourcing them at a half reasonable price... any ideas?

Cheers

Hi B2, long time no see amigo.

I know diddly squat about hydro so can't help, I'm sure one of the watery folk will help you out soon enough.

I didn't see any mention of slippers in your starting list.

All good things

Lift everything a few inches off the ground and go through the bottoms of the buckets?

Sounds like you got everything you need apart from pipework, uniseals / tank cons which ever preferred and a bottle or 2 of nutes  ;)

Right oh, got my 2 inch uniseals coming on Friday, ordered a 700 gph pump also coming on Friday, my 20 buckets came yesterday and my 6 inch net pots came today, now all I need are the pipes :)

building the system is gonna be a pain in the arse as it's not a square room and I still don't have a clue what I'm doing lol, I don't even know if my pump is too big/small but I needed shit to be delivered as I'm anxious to get this bitch built!

What's a good cheese strain to grow in an undercurrent?

Any tips on what not to do when building this system?

I'm I right in thinking that I want to cycle the nutes in my system about 4 or 5 times an hour?

What's a good spacing between pots? I was thinking 2

foot plant centers in a column an 1 meter between columns to allow access along side them.

What sort of size scrog net over each plant? 600x600?

Is a 150l control pot too big? All the shop bought systems seem to have small ones, I'm under the assumption bigger is better due to stabilising the

system and fewer rez changes.

What's a good place to get shit loads of nutes?

Exactly how many grams will I get from this system?

as stated before, any help will be gratefully received:)

(The last question was a joke before you have a pop at me lol)

I know im asking a lot of stupid questions but ive only ever grown in diddy little spaces and i know thrres some experts out there willing to pard with their hard earned knowledge :) :)

Thanks for looking :)

I thought of doing that but I'll regret losing that few inches head height further down the line so I went with the uniseals in the end
