t's easy to forget when you (some of the time) know how easy growing really is and that we were all newbies once after-all, So with some feedback in the brainstorming thread and from our respected users the idea to put up video training guides stood out a bit and it would be good to get this going.

 

The ideal is for everyone who wants or is able to contribute by having a go at filming short video snippets to become part of a growing/help/how-to/cannabis video area on the forum.

 

A quick blast of the brain cells has thrown these ideas for videos

 

Setting up the Kit/Groom

• Mixing up the soil, Washing/Buffering coco etc,.

 

Extras

 

• Making Compost Teas
• Soil Mixes
• Making Hash
• Making Oil
• Calibrating Probes
• Trimming?/Harvesting/Drying
• Skinning up
• Sexing Young Plants
• What do hermies look like
• Pests and pest control
• Storing Seeds
• Have a Gnatter - just talking about weed, tips and tricks, general stuff

 

 

There is no pressing urgency on this, doing it when the timing is right/convenient is fine. As an added bonus, everyone who sends in a video will get some goodies from my percy seed stash if they wish. There may even be a video of the year award if it takes off. All you have to do is pick one of the suggestions/or come up with your own, have a shot at filming your guide/how-to and post it up on this thread for now.

 

This is still a bit blue-sky and a few little details still to be sorted out : video sizes, post-production, where to send them etc,. but we will be setting up a specific subforum for them, and creating a standard opener/titles to wrap each one in. Any questions : just ask away...any suggestions : get them posted, any experienced video producers : come here and let me stroke your ego and get you involved

 

So, who wants to join in and help make the circle just that little bit richer in content?

here you go @jimmi2scoops, shot on a galaxy phone, used movie maker to stitch it together and saved as mp4(mpeg)/h24video for a (small) feature phone, I think that means a smart phone in microshaft speak..

 

It took about 25mins to put together end 2 end but it is a quick and dirty version. It's only 4.4mb big for 1:30 mins of video too. I shot it setting the phones video camera to 1280x720, Superfine quality. 

 

Apologies for the shonky presenter but how does it look on other peeps devices/computers?
