Well I think I threatened to get this up yesterday so hear goes
Ingredients I used, but you can use effectively what you like..
1 steak (I used braising steak so any will do)
cherry tomatos
2 peppers
2 breakfast mushrooms
broccoli
2 medium chillis
2 birds eye chillis
fresh ground black pepper
garlic salt
garlic granules
chilli powder
You'll also need a large sheet of aluminium foil..
Prep time is how long it takes, cooking time is 1 hour on gas mark 4 (180C or 350F).
Put cuts into the steak approximately 1cm apart all the way along the steak itself
Having done that grind a decent amount of black pepper onto the meat & then sprinkle with garlic salt, granules & chilli powder to taste & then rub it into those cuts. You may think this is going to be really hot chilli wise, but the juices produced will neutralise a lot of the heat.
Now turn it over onto the tin foil & repeat the cuts & pepper, garlic etc once again.
Chop up the chillis nice & fine, mix them up & sprinkle over the top of the steak just so
Now scrub the sh*t out of your hands before you do something stupid like rub your eyes
Next cut the cherry tomatos in half & place them on top of the chillis.
Followed by the sliced breakfast mushrroms
And broccoli
Core the peppers & then cut them in half from top to bottom getting rid of any seeds. Now carefully slice each end of the peppers so you can open them out almost flat & place those on top of everything else
Finally fold the foil up & over each side & at the ends to make a kind of steamer. Place it on a baking tray at the top of the oven & cook for one hour at gas mark 4 (180C 350K).
When you take it out & open it up you'll find you have a load of superb stock to make gravy with or stew
Ready to eat & yes I did it the lot
As I said you could use almost anything but I think the tomatos & peppers should always (possibly) be included for the moisture they contain...
Enjoy
