hi chew for the first time ever i have made oil from slow dried and proper cured bud no trim just 2 oz of tangerine dream its clear as ive seen before winterising due to carefully freezing all the utensils and quick 3 min wash i will be evaping tonight and see what difference it makes on tina tomorrow,half is going to be cold extraction and evap to retain terpenes and terpenoids and keep the decarb down as much as possible hoping to carry through thca and cbda for use by a child,the other half im making bio bombs for tina and her sister that will be decarbed though,mon the oil!!!!!!!!

 

You can add more Terpenes too Duke such as myrcene and so on. You will find that in lemongrass The list is endless

I've posted this elsewhere, I think, but it might bear mentioning again...

I read somewhere that paper filters absorb diterpenes whereas metal ones don't.

I haven't investigated any further, but if it's true (or even if it isn't, come to that) then it might be worth trying something like this instead of the ubiquitous coffee filter, and perhaps especially so for medical users because diterpenes have anti-inflammatory properties.

Oh, and I seem to remember something about terpenes being related to taxanes as well, some of which are used as chemotherapy agents.

When I'm making oil I try not to be concerned with the terpenes. There are so many places along the line that destroy these that I feel like we're chasing the wind. You can introduce those terpenes through diet or adding them to the oils. 

We are just too limited to what we can do at home.
