are all the vents and wire holes that should be shut ,shut tight.it could be air escapeing/getting sucked in and making the noise

As B.C says mate, its most likely an air pressure thing so if its not fan related its air movement. I would check my seals on the  fan/s and for  air leaks

hi have you enough intakes open ie how much does closing the tent suck the sides in?if your intakes are not 50% bigger than outake then open them more (you can use a bit of ducting coiled to allow air in but no light out)fixed to the outside using gorilla tape and that should stop the whistle, peace

Well last time I heard whistling it was because the neg pressure was pushing the fan & filter slightly apart and making a slight gap between them

I fixed it by putting something between tent wall & where fan meets filter and it works a treat
