Yo bean counters, im back, and will be doing some growing after all this year.

Im gonna try and do some chillies, well birds eye chillies to be preciise.

I have my el- cheapo LED that the cops didnt find, and some seeds that i took from a chillie a couple of days back and dried out.

im going the same way as i did with canna, so the seeds are in a sandwich bag, on top of the broadband router.

Lets hope for some sprouts in a few days.

Tell me, what kinda buzz do you get off them?   ;) ;) ;)

if anyone else is growing them this year, then jump aboard and we can make it a communal diary.

its time to plant the seeds for the best results by the way, Jan/ Feb,.

Come on, lets ave it!

mon the chillies.

Did someone mention chillies? I have a few going this year. Most of my seeds are from vertiloom company,a   tiptop belgium chilli grower.I also have about 5kg of moruga yellow scorpions in the fridge and 4 overwintering.Going to be an epic year again for chillie.

Good reminder @bigwilliebobby, I didn't do any last year with moving house but I've got a selection that I've dried off and are ready to go, bullets, habaneros, scotch bonnets & indians.

 hows about an opportunity later on for an eat-off, see who's got the hottest and tastiest ones  :deviltoker:

I only tend to use ones which I have grown and dried or bought from the shops and dried. I do like to put one or two to one side when I get nice ones in from the shop :)

I don't know about anyone else's personal experiences, but I found that if you eat a little bit of chilli every day, your arse gets used to it and stops that fiery sphinctre syndrome by the third day

Plus, you've just got to burn your way through the hottest chilli/curries you can and you get used to them.......up to a point.

Think thats strain dependant Olmec, i know the nagas , jalepenos  and some of the hotter ones take a while , but most are about 7-10 days.

Ive been doing a bit of cooking since i became unemployed, and i like a hot curry, and a decent hot bit of chillie con carne, .................. you know, the type that make you sweat your nose run half way through lol.

seeds i just used some seeds from a birds eye chillie, hope they work,... time will tell

Do you lot do them in yer grow tents or what?

some music

@bigwilliebobby  I'll be involved in some form, got to see what chilli seeds i have left.
I had about x7 different types growing in my back yard a few years back,
I usually start them off in my grow tent then throw them outside as soon as frost has gone.

I started half of this year's back in September, pure experiment in established roots V newbies.

4 strains in 12L square pots.

Let them get rooted out and I put them in the conservatory over winter.

All the leaves dropped and the rot is starting to set in, they want to damp off, so yesterday I put them outside as it's been about 8*C here, ready for the off...

It's dark out, so pics tomorrow, but they're looking OK. Small leaves appearing and ready for hot hot pumpy chilli action!

CHoo choo!

:chuchu:
