I am not trying to convert anybody or get them to stray form their faith or beliefs. I was born and raised a Roman Catholic (my maternal grandmother is Italian, which means we are too, Buongiorno!) I attended a Catholic school and had to attend Religious Education (which was basically Catholic brainwashing) for 5 years. I started to take an interest in the religions of the world when I noticed how similar they all were, most start by describing something or someone descending from the heavens. You have to remember that these accounts are written in ancient languages and there was no words like aviation, engine etc so analogies were used which I believe have been misunderstood throughout the ages. Were there really fire breathing dragons that are mentioned in mythology or are they a portrayal of something brscribed in the words and terms available of the time. Any way enough of that.
Ishtar (pronounced Easter) (Inanna in Sumerian sources)daughter of Nanna (the Mesopotamian moon god, Sin).
Inanna[a] is an ancient Mesopotamian goddess associated with love, beauty, sex, war, justice and political power. She was originally worshiped in Sumer under the name "Inanna", and was later worshipped by the Akkadians, Babylonians, and Assyrians under the name Ishtar.[b] She was known as the "Queen of Heaven" and was the patron goddess of the Eanna temple at the city of Uruk, which was her main cult center. She was associated with the planet Venus and her most prominent symbols included the lion and the eight-pointed star. Her husband was the god Dumuzid (later known as Tammuz) and her sukkal, or personal attendant, was the goddess Ninshubur (who later became the male deity Papsukkal).
