Where I fount this is an housing estate was an old orchard many years ago.
Where do truffles grow normally? ?

oak trees normally I think mate, but not exclusively. that's pretty big looks really nice. how did you find it? and are you north or south? if you don't mind me asking. would love a pic when you cut it. what are you going to do with it?

Huh are they even suppose to grow here edit, yes they are but normally on private land so you cant take them, is there anymore 3kg get you 300 quid or something daft lol

Apparently they're so strong smelling that storing them with eggs will flavour the eggs, giving a nice truffle omelette effect.
I'd steep it in oil, make it go a long way.

Dekay u say is ther any more. U wanna buy them.lol.
The big one gota be few oz. I havent got any whales to seewhat it weigh.

the nun speaks the truth. if you like omelettes /scrambled eggs the best thing you can do is store your truffles in a kilner jar with some good eggs and leave for a few days. you get truffle flavoured eggs and still have the truffle to grate over your pasta if you've not eaten it before a little goes a long way.
