As a kid i grew up in a seaside town wasn't allowed to go in the arcades or fairground, didn't stop me lol and got grounded a few times, but thats another story!, anyway i wasted a lot of my childhood putting 50ps into the arcade games on the prom or in my room on my atari or my zx spectrum 64,  waiting for at least an hour for the game to load with my cassette tape oh man im old!  i don't know if you can get them as flash games on here but some of my faves were jet set willy, horrice goes skiing, frogger, that space one can't remember name! wonderboy omg spent hours on that the little guy on a skateboard! and pac land the one where he jumped over houses. Ah the memories :)

Even worse if the tape got tangled and you had to wind it up again with a pencil and then the game would never load again if it had a crease in the tape
