I don't know about you peeps, but I like to put things to good use in my growing that isn't cannabis specific. Even more so when you consider the mark-up for cannabis/growing branded stuff which is nearly always available elsewhere cheaper.

So I've put this thread up so that you can share your own little bits of kit that are useful but not exactly cannabis related.

There's lots of odds and sods, printer refill syringes to measure feeds for example but this one is a little belter. I've had a couple of these tiffin tins for a while now, great for your snap but equally good for germinating seeds :)

aye aye, whats going on 'ere then :)

Only using the top two tiers this time, running some Sage x Trifles and Amnesia crosses to take them on a level. Be just my luck to get all girls when I'm after a bit of both :joint:

Three tiers of surprises :weed:

I sometimes stick some warm water in the bottom tier and this keeps the water nicely tepid. Good thing is they are discreet, can be safely moved about and a quick shake every few hours soon has all the seeds sunk and on their way to a bountiful lifespan :weed:

It does the job for me.

So, what do you peeps have kicking about that you use?

On a more serious note, this is probably the tool I've used the most over the last 20 years:

wigs are great for putting on the top of reflectors.

it adds no benefit at all, and presents firehazards.

but getting a wig for your reflectors i hope will be the next "slippers" in growforums.

been looking out for one for ages but never found one strolling around markets etc.

i will hunt  one tho soon.

I was recently looking at the 'Magical Butter Machine' and thought it looks a nice bit of kit for making, butter, tincture, & ecig juice.

until I saw,

1/ the price ($174)

2/ it was only sold in the USA.

I then realised it was pretty much the same as a 'Morphy Richards Soup Maker'.

and you can buy these second hand on ebay for about £10-£20

they are basically the same, except the timers are different,

the timer doesn't seem to be a problem, the only difference is, you would have to do a couple of cycles with the soup maker,

instead of one cycle with the magical butter machine.

These Cyclone cones seen in shops have an invaluable secondary use...

cyclones-clear-tube-boxes.png

They come with a very tough plastic tube that has a screw tight lid.
The perfect size for storing a spliff on the go, no worries about smell or damaging your baby.

The actual cones are pretty nice (especially the clear ones), however the tube they are packaged in is even more useful XD
I think they are £1.50 or something like that in corner shops.

Here you can see the actual tube, just peel off the branding stuff and it's a solid black colour:
