alright there ppl

i thought id review this X-STREAM heated prop for all your cloning pleasure! cos it was a little alien to me when i first seen them, but there so simple to use and takes a lot off the worry and effort out of cloning you plants for your next run of your favourite strains

first up what the hell is cloning???

well i supose the easy answer is it allows us to make a living photocopy of any plant we wish, this photocopy or clone will be a genetic copy of the mother plant its taken from in every single detail!

now there are many differnt ways to clone your plants a quick google will lead you to many differnt ways some simple some extravagent lol

i paid £65 for my 12 site heated X-STREAM prop make sure u get the heated version ( its a fish tank heater basicly so if ya have one already get the nornmal

) and i picked mine up off amazon

so what do u get in the box?? here's what thee £65 rips gets ya

here is the bottom rez

gallery_115_64_325532.jpg

and here is the propgator

gallery_115_64_195126.jpg

next up is the heater

gallery_115_64_144285.jpg

and the pump and sprayer, a timer is a must as your clones are going to need air as well as water, 15 mins on 15 mins off is the sweet spot for your timmer

gallery_115_64_144948.jpg

so were do the plants go i here you ask? they go in little net pots with a neropane collar to hold the uprite and work amazingly well ( some ppl cut the bottoms out of these pots to lesen the damage to roots on removal )

gallery_115_64_108131.jpg

and they sit snugly into this board

gallery_115_64_251973.jpg

and here it is going together

gallery_115_64_130082.jpg

gallery_115_64_306754.jpg

and toped up with plain old tapwater and running, with these props there is no need for any additives or rooting hormones if you choose not 2, i dont use anything at all

up next is some cuttings T.B.C..................

so next we need to get some cuttings and first thing to remember here is cleanliness its so importan that everything is nice and clean

so get ya self a nice clean scapel/rasor blade and giv it a good clean in iso if you have it

gallery_115_65_44323.jpg

next most important thing is ya labels, its such a mare when you get things mixed up so take ya time and make sure everything is labeled up correctly

gallery_115_65_263164.jpg

next we need some mums

gallery_115_65_430583.jpg

find yaself a nice cut site, nice new growth thats got a good few nodes and isnt to woody

gallery_115_65_223214.jpg

here we have a nice cutting ready for the bottom inch or so to be lightly scrapped ( just the skin ) and som of the leaves cut off and trimmed.  its important to cut your clone on a nice 45 degree angle to give i nice lare area at the foot of the stem

gallery_115_65_314210.jpg

and here we are all trimed up ready

gallery_115_65_237239.jpg

and simply into the net pot like this

gallery_115_65_31329.jpg

then repaet for all your clones and pop them into the prop, switch on the heater and the pump, mist the inside of the prop thourly to keep the humidity up as high as possible, the only way for them to get moisture now untill they have the root system in place is via the few leaves they have. give each clone a good misting all over

gallery_115_65_83507.jpg

and thats that just keep misting the inside of the prop everyday and the clones if they look a little droopy

up next roots T.B.C...............

Can i ask what the need for the heater is ?

I have 2 x steams and when in veg tent the water sits at 18-20c

only to keep it from going much lower than 18c they will still root at lower temps but i find that 18-19c is the fastest rooter for me

@olmec Great bit of kit m8 i made summink similar but not exactly Aeroponics more DWC cloner but worked along the same lines and after about 10 to 14 days you got nice cuttings from it, very  easy to make DWC style. Same but different lol.
