After being asked by the good old tgc folk on how I made my bho I thought I would share.. ****PIC HEAVY**** Hey you wanted detailed right lol..
So you wanna know how I make my oil?
Well let's go then no point standing around..

So my 1st point being made atm and this is down to the individual really you don't have to do this but up to you.
After speaking with Duke which tbh IMHO he's put tons of research into his oil and gave me a tip I guess you could say...
decarb.. which is where you just set the over to 100f and leave the buds/trim spread out on a tray and we'll bake for about hour or so..
Two reasons as to why. Now I won't go into to much detail here go do your own research in this area ..
reason 1: same with medibles your activating the thc. Which definitely gives you more bang for your buck.
reason 2: it dries the buds to a crisp. Perfect as if there's moisture inside the bud/trim the butane will freeze it.

ok so now that's out the way..

Here's roughly 11g of bud. Ready to be packed.

Nice n packed but not to packed the tane won't pass easily but not lose enough to cause back pressure.. the 1st run I like to keep the buds hole but don't worry if they break down during the packing process.

Got my filter ready 2 coffee filters (keep it after the runs as you can see there's oil still smeared on it can collect once done with some iso)

Almost ready to rock

I like to evaporate my tane off with a simple reptile heat mat. Rather than using say a hot water bath. The reason for that is the steam will get moisture in your tane.. will ruin it IMHO...


Get your pyrex dish ready to go.

Now we're ready to get our tane on...

I'd say 1-2 cans per oz

Now the evap process..
Took 30 mins total and pics taken 10mins apart. .

 

 

 

now once you've got to that stage.. transfer the pyrex to a hotplate/foreman grill/electric oven hob..
You want to ain't the temp around 100f-120f but don't go higher.. This also took 30mins

Them big bubbles is trapped butane.. don't pop em they will pop themselves..

 

 

well that's fucking it for the moment I need a joint n dab after all this ffs...

Right so now all the bubbles has gone. We're ready to scrape up that lovely gooey goodness lol


Collect it all up n put it in your silicon pot.






Put it on you hotplate/hob what I did to keep an eye on the temps was put the probe in the lid next to the pot with oil in.. keep temps same as before 100-120f.
It will melt down




As it melts fully start tilting it so it spreads out as thin as possible you want a lot of surface area to give a better n ever purge






will continue this in a bit as my phones batt is low again lol

Right I'm back...

Took me around 30 mins do the 1st purge.
As I said needs to be as thin and wide as possible to get that even purge...
After 30 mins of purging take it off and allow it to cool down.
Once cooled touch it with your finger to see if it sticks you want it to be glassy with a slight tacky feel ie it will leave your fingerprint but won't stick to your fingers.. If it's not quite there yet like mine was repeat the purge..

After 30mins and once cooled down I was left...
With this...













notice the jagged edges from where it's shattered away..

Right so that's done ...
You could also turn the oil a more red colour by doing the purge on the heat mat in the sun..






and that's the guide give it a whirl.. All of the oils I've done is handle able in the sense I can roll it into sausages with ease and nothing stuck to my finger
I would like to prove it but that means putting my finger tips online lol so either take my word for it. . Or try ya self

Oo just I case.. be safe ffs.. This is a HIGHLY FLAMMABLE GAS...
No smoking no sparks well ventilated outside would be best but if your in a flat like me a room where it won't be disturbed windows wide fan blowing full pelt over the dish. Switch everything off incase of any sparks.. better safe than sorry here

I do believe it's a dab time after all this work lol.. spent all day hovering round a tane dish but finally done the 1st runs off all.. got 1 can left lol.. and just gonna scrap the Agent1 oil from the dish n purge
