@LegalizeMe i know theres a company called Squishit do some decent looking ones, although i lack experience in picking the best features as i dont own one.

http://www.concentra710.com does the squishit stuff and ebay and their own site too, not sure if theres a difference with prices between each site.

Atb :)

Some of the uk prices are just ridiculous, take a few hundred quid bit of kit then a triple the price tag on it

Looked at the nugmaster mini and you are talking 850 dollars for the uk version and shipping.
The device costs 450, but then having to add uk power and then shipping

Is it viable to use an old bench vice and a blow torch?

@Marcus ive thought the same thing, used a blowtorch to heat the plates and a non contact digital thermometer to check plate temps are where they should be and squish :)

I’m going to go down this route very soon myself, but mine is going to be super compact and still be able to run at about 20ton

It’s a good guide so hats off to the OP whoever you may be, it’s perfect for what I have in mind

I had been reading that also and thought with marlin closing down I may be able to get some parts cheaper.
Looks like the site doesn’t exist anymore for map Lin

Let me know how you go, hope all goes to plan.

I’ve been googling around today and found all the parts easy enough. Just need to decide if I’m going to get a bottle jack or a strong arm, one thing I do need is twin speed cos im very very light lmao

anyone ever used aluminum plates heated in an oven, then placed into a horizontal orientated jaws vice,a pry bar would increase squish force or is a no go? Its pretty caveman style but seems like it may work?

Works perfect ;) I put a mettle tube over the vice arm/tommy bar for a bit more leverage
