As title, how/what do I need to get started growing with coco?

All you experienced coco growers out there, post your top tips and hints :)

I'll be ordering a bluelap ec/ph truncheon, unless someone can suggest a cheaper/better option?

I gather coco can be reused if flushed thoroughly; should this just be done in the shower?

Daily watering/feeding with coco, is that right?

I'm sure I'll think of more questions, but that'll do for now. Gimme that fabulous TGC knowledge

Reading that thread now. It's bloody long.

In the mean time: should I still allow my water to sit for 24 hours before using in coco?

Regarding feeding in coco @WanderinBloke,get used to how heavy a freshly watered pot feels, once it feels half the weight of when you’ve just watered...feed again.
Blue labs ec/ph meters are ok,expensive though! I didn’t really like them if I’m honest.i use essential ec/ph meters, can get both for around £70 on fleabay 👍

Coco; nutrients; a pH meter.

That's really all that's required, and is all I use :)

I've been using one of the cheap (£5 or so) yellow ones off the 'Bay,with no issues :)

No EC meter? Why not?

I've never seen the need, and my grows seem to work :)

If you get the pH right and follow the manufacturers guidelines with the nutrients it seems to work out fine (I use the 'light feeding for hard water' regime and never go more than about 3 ml/litre).
