if oxygen is the enemy of a good cure, and terp degredation, would it not be an idea to vacuum pack bud in the fridge once its dried to 62% RH, or am I missing something?

It's an excellent idea to vacuum pack the bud but do a gentle vacuum setting if using a bag vacuum sealer. I like it to be almost like a bag of coffee beans..no air but still a little loose rather than being compressed into a brick.

Flat containers also help with this. The container can give the vacuum bag solid walls so the buds don't get crushed but still remove all the air

I was thinking vacuum earlier & steel conduit, but a decent diameter seemed idea if it was threaded at each end & caps could screw on each end....

 

One totally sealed, the other has a schader fitted to it, but reversed... You then reverse the rubber & piston in a cycle air pump & it'll suck the air out... I see no reason at all why it shouldn't be possible to get the pressure down to low single figures

 

I did something similar to make an aluminium disc bow in to make a reflector for a telescope, but at lower pressure...

 

The idea is sound...

 

But maybe use stainless as Lefty suggests..

 

 

E2A:- When I said lower pressure for the reflector I meant closer to atmospheric... So maybe 1-2lbs below atmospheric of around 14 PSI... But the lower it goes the better  that valve & everything would seal...
