18 inches so far, i aint moved it since i set it up.

Those resistors will be fine like that, you have left plenty of space for air to pass underneath them, I'm assuming the same will go for above them too...

 

Looking forward to seeing the finished product.... Nice find with that connector! Been looking for something similar myself, but 12 way... I'll probably just go the terminal block route seeing as I'd need a good few of them MDS the skinflint As long as it's safe then skinflint it is....

Thanks MDS, the resistors will be mounted in a 12x12x6 box with vent holes in the top bottom and sides with a fan mounted on the box cover. I am leaving room for future additions and want to make sure I have plenty of airflow. I underestimated the thickness of the resistors i had wanted an airgap but i dont think it will be an issue.

Those connectors are 19 pin.

I got the second set of resistors wired to the male panel connector. I wont be bolting down the resistor sets until the outputs are connected. I also want to make some spacer bars to raise the resistors off the back of the box for better air flow around them.

more baby steps, got one half of the fixture wired. 5 way wagos for the negatives and grommets for each of the wire penetrations. i will get the other half wired tomorrow and i will solder the panel connectors, i might even get the end bars  cut and mounted to the frame with the corner connectors.
