can anyone recommend a truly free antivirus for windows 7?

TinyWall is excellent, although it's not an antivirus and it can be really annoying until it's configured because it blocks everything by default so nothing works until it's specifically allowed.

Yes it`s another bit of added security to run alongside your windows firewall.. I had it set on auto learn for a few months before putting it on normal protection, it runs well smooth now. :)
