I’m looking for good information on the optic one and optic one XL grow lights, I’ve seen quite a few reviews and a lot of numbers on these particular lights but I don’t know if I should trust the reviews or the numbers because they’re coming from places that are selling the lights. I guess I would just like some first-hand knowledge from people that actually use these lights in their grows, any info would be greatly appreciated.

mine is dimmable to 30 % i dont think theirs are? Quick pics no reflector yet  which is removable and a good thing on these, they are very strong and you are better off removing the reflector imo the reflector doubles the light thrown down  same as the glass

Hi Forest, why don't you want to reflect more light down, trying to understand these. I trust your word.

^^^^^ me too, If using a reflector doubles the power, where's the problem, they're dimmable, right?

Of course I'm talking out of my ass, well maybe the ass in the next stall, I don't even know what kind of reflector can do that

Hi Forest, why don't you want to reflect more light down, trying to understand these. I trust your word.

in a high bay situation (high roof)  you want the reflectors to throw light down,  but in a tent and 100w focused in a beam you will see fading they are to powerful  and in takking reflector off it spreads the light much better to 120 degree angle, the glass or reflector is 90 degrees,  in a tent you dont need glass or reflectors imo  and it will lead to alot less fading

Hello Forest, are they good for flowering and what is the hps equivalent?

they are perfect for flowering and come in several kelvins colours

the cree 3590 is a good chip

hps , id say this will do what a 250hps will do as they arent the best lights you will see bigger bud off these than a 250hps and frostier

Thanks for the info.

Forest, I’m located in the US and at present I’m using some older galaxy hydro LEDs and a 450w reflector series. I’m trying to boost my power so that I can fatten up my buds on my next go round.
I’m looking for info on par values and results that people have had using the optic 1XL on a single or possibly two plants.
