Summertime is here again, well i say that after the crazy hale stones of yesterday.

My summer grow this year is a Dutch Passion scrog, featuring a fairly new released strain called Passion Fruit and also a heavy indica called Night Queen.

I was kindly donated these seeds by Dutch Passion Tony who lurks about TGC, as Passion Fruit seem to be hard to get hold of at the start of the year.

I've got one of each strain growing that were started roughly over 3 to 4 weeks ago, they both just been transplanted to bigger 5gal fabric pots yesterday and

introduced to my main flowering tent. I'm aiming to veg for at least another 2 to 3 weeks, hopefully getting the scrog screen in place by the end of next week.
The Passion Fruit is currently slight ahead growthwise but the Night Queen is catching up fast, once locked into the new bigger fabric pots am sure veg growth

will speed up nicely. I'm only using blue spectrum at the moment just to introduce plants to the LED, so far they have been vegged under a small T5 light.

Some blurb on Passion Fruit:

Through a Dutch Passion friend in Belgium, the Dutch Passion breeders team got their hands on one of the fruitiest strains they’ve encountered in a long time. This superb clone came from a beautiful Sweet Pink Grapefruit mother and when sampling the end product of this fruity genetic, our test team were blown away by the smell and taste of this strain. You can both smell and taste where this variety got it’s name from.

The yields of this variety were good, but after our breeders team crossed this individual with an original Orange Bud® clone, yields were increased to the next level and the fruity smell and amazing sweet taste were preserved. The result is something to be proud of and she was announced as “Passion Fruit®” If you are looking for some smokable fruit, then Passion Fruit® is the strain for you!

Blurb on Night Queen:

Night Queen is a pure and unhybridised Afghani Indica first seen in the 1980’s and now making a re-appearance in the Dutch Passion collection.  She grows in a compact and bushy form and produces long and dense blooms of very heavy hitting indica bud.  The harvest is special old-school Afghani weed, sticky resin coats the blooms with citrus flavours and spicy scents.

This is very strong, just a small joint was enough for some of our test team.  Night Queen can be used sparingly yet still be very effective so your harvest will go a long way.  Users report a powerful body stone, a really potent indica-style buzz.  The effect is very pleasant and relaxing, some users report it helps them sleep.  A real treat for those looking for a good old-fashioned heavy hitting variety that is easy to grow and not at all demanding in the grow room.

I'll post a few early photos later when I can dig them out and update at the end of next week.

hi gingerb i did the nightqueen a while ago and tbh it was a sad waste of time and money the slowest afghani i have ever seen in veg and bud was small and no more potent than the faster growing afghans i am used to growing maybe not a fare test as out of 2 packs only 1 plant survived to bloom, though imo an interesting strain i personally would not bother again,on the other hand i could have had a duff phentype and could be the bestest fastest strain ever who knows?i did like the dark delight from dp and have another vegging again a bit slow in veg but fast flowerer, anyhow good luck i shall follow along, peace

Good info duke on the nightqueen, so far I've not had any problems with it but only just gone into a bigger pot. Over the next few weeks I will see how well it vegs under LED.

Hi Ginge, I always seem to miss the starts of your grows but I'm in early this time.

Subbed up for the journey, don't forget the slipper shots.

All good things

1st Quick Photo Update

Passion Fruit on the left and Night Queen on the right.

I've wacked in the scrog screen early this time, as want to train growth in direction I want.

Am guessing gonna be at least  2 to 3 weeks more veg to am filling screen.

And here's alittle "Summertime" (Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince cover)
It so bad its actually good, loving the red corsa.
