As the Title says really,

:tgc: Seasonal tips, heads ups, and stuff to make growing easier :tgc:

Here's my two for the month

  • Budrot is a coming

End of August through October is when the spores are in the air, humidity and temps a starting to fluctuate and bud rot starts to strike.

Outdoors, just keep attending your plants, shaking them down, and pulling away any dead/dying/fallen leafs, opening the plants up if possible to max the airflow.

Indoors, make sure your fans/extraction are up to the job, consider installing heaters to even out the temp and condensation spikes, or install de-humidifiers to keep the humidity low and keep a very close eye on those phattening buds, if you spot the dreaded browny grey mush, cut it out fast.

  • Get them in for Christmas  :xmas:

It might be four months away but that is a full seed-2-weed grow cycle. IF you want decent, dried and cured, supplies for Christmas, the next 4 weeks are when you want to get things moving. Auto flowering strains will extend that growing window, but only by a few weeks and should ideally be in and underway by the end of September.

:tgc: Feel free to add with you own timely and apt words of green wisdom  :tgc:

Here's another one for ya :)

Everyone raves about duck tape and gorrilla tape and agreed, it's good stuff...but, it's not lightproof and it dries out when used in grooms so is there a better alternative?

Yes, and its called Metal Tape (no not that TDK M90 one with Iron Maiden on it :P ) or sometimes called Silver Foil Tape, or Thermafoil)

It's about the same price as Branded Duck/Gorrilla tape, but easier to use, easier to cut, completely moldable, waterproof, heatproof (long term), reflective and sticky as a sticky thing. Ideal for fixing tent holes/rips, putting up your mylar/black and white, sealing ducting, joining ducting and a hundred and one other uses. Get it in the Insulation section of your local Wickes/BnQ/Builders Supply. The last lot I got was 4.99 for a 45m roll.
